TRGA Season Resumes at Cedar Valley

After a short break to let the rough thicken, the TRGA season resumes Sunday at Cedar Valley, just outside Winona, MN.

It's that time of the year when STRAIGHT is more important than LONG on any golf course in the Midwest. Every course is rewarding shots hit in the fairway.  Those of you who occasionally leave the driver in the bag at Cedar Valley might see yourselves in contention as you get to the last few holes.

There are plenty of birdie and par chances at Cedar Valley.  There are also potential train wrecks.  Take the par-5 12th hole for example.  I've made birdie there in the tournament a couple times. I also made an 11 there in the tournament. My advice: don't make an 11.

The weather forecast looks great right now.  So it should be a great start to our busiest run of the TRGA season with 4 events in 5 weeks.

Just another friendly reminder: Play smart on number 12.
