When it comes to the TRGA Viroqua Hills Open, there is clearly one solid favorite to win the men's championship flight. He is Troy Dobbe. The Viroqua native will be swinging for his fourth straight Viroqua Hills Open title on Saturday. Friday morning, Dobbe describe the state of his game as "not too bad". We will see if that's good enough for a four-peat. Dobbe is scheduled to tee off at 11:40 a.m. with Jeff Dunnum, another Viroqua native.
Prior to Friday afternoon's steady rain, Viroqua Hills was playing firm and fast. While things will soften up a bit, the golf course will still be in outstanding shape for the TRGA's third event of the season. 57 players are set to start at 9:00 a.m. After Viroqua, the TRGA will travel to Minnesota for the Cedar Valley Open on Sunday, May 22.
