Avoid the 'round ruiner'

Trempealeau Mountain just might be the TRGA's most unique golf course.  It has a little bit of a links feel but with lots of trees.  On Sunday lots of tournament golfers will be there for the TRGA's 8th event of the season.

Historically, the par 71 layout has been a solid test for all types of players.  Those who score well almost always avoid disaster on two holes that are "round ruiners."

The par 4 13th hole can be very unlucky.  The second shot is one of the most demanding shots of the season.  If you don't have a good look, play it like a short par 5.  Avoid the big number.

Same deal on the par 3, 14th hole.  If you want to flirt with trouble, go ahead and take dead aim at the Sunday pin location.  Or, you might want to locate the center of the green. It's up to you.
