TRGA to visit Forest Hills

What a great morning for an 18-hole round of golf. Viterbo University assistant men's golf coach Shawn Keenan and I enjoyed every step of the way Thursday morning at Forest Hills. My weekly site visit was filled with wonderful sights. If you've played Forest Hills you know what I'm talking about. It's always scenic, but especially impressive in the early morning or early evening.

In addition, the golf course is probably in its' best condition since it was home of the LaCrosse Country Club a long time ago. My sources tell me they're double-rolling the greens. The fairways are very good. And the quality of the layout will challenge all of our TRGA competitors, regardless of ability level.

If you're looking for pre-round advice, Keenan (who has shot 63 at Forest Hills) has some for you. "Keep the ball in play. Number 12 is a three-shot hole for everyone. And make sure your short game is sharp going in, because everyone will miss some of these small greens."

If you're wondering how that early morning match turned out, let's just say I bought lunch, again!

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Play well!

TRGA Executive Director
