The TRGA is set to open its 20th season on Sunday May 3 at Fox Hollow Golf Course. Unlike last year, mother nature has allowed many TRGA players to get in a few practice rounds to prepare for the first test of the season. While that doesn't mean everyone will be in mid-season form, expect some excitement at Fox Hollow.
The course is in very good shape and there are many scoring chances on the par-70 layout. Don't be surprised if someone threatens to break the event record of 65. The field of 81 players includes two members of the University of Wisconsin men's golf team.
A word of caution to the ultra-agressive competitors. While there are plenty of birdie holes at Fox Hollow, there are plenty of opportunities for big numbers as well.
The Fox Hollow open is the first of 9 regular-season tournaments on the 2015 TRGA Schedule. To be eligible for the 36-hole TRGA Championship, you need to play at least 4 regular-season events. "We are really excited to get started" said TRGA Executive Director Jim Socha.
By now you've noticed the new-look TRGA website. Special thanks to Kevin Drewiske for all of his work on the project! You will find tee times, results, features and more at www.trgagolf.com
