Golfing weather to return for Cedar Valley

Please Understand I'm not recommending that you take your winter hat, rain gloves, thermal underwear or any other January-type survival gear out of your trunk.  However, from all indications, you might not need to wear the extra stuff Sunday at the TRGA Open at Cedar Valley in Winona, MN.  The forecast is calling for high temperatures in the upper 70's to low 80's.  That's much different than a week ago, when players watched the snowflakes fall in the early morning at Viroqua Hills.

More than 70 players are signed up for the annual trip to the west side of the Mississippi River.  They will be treated to a golf course that is in terrific condition.  According to General Manager Rod Sines Cedar Valley "is in the best condition ever!"

Troy Dobbe is coming off a win in Viroqua last week, his 4th straight on his home course.  He will be one of the favorites in another very strrong men's championship flight.

The action starts at 8:40 a.m. Sunday.   After Cedar Valley the TRGA takes a two week break before returning to play at Drugan's Castle Mound in Holmen, WI.
