The Championship Flight Winner of this year's TRGA Championship will be competing in the 2016 Wisconsin State Amateur. That's the news coming out of the Wisconsin State Golf Association's recent Board Meeting.
We're very thankful that the WSGA is willing to grant the exemption. It's a win-win situation for both associations in my opinion
Jim Socha, TRGA Executive Director
The TRGA's 36-hole Championship will be even more hotly contested than normal. "What great incentive for our championship flight players" said TRGA Executive Director Jim Socha. "We're very thankful that the WSGA is willing to grant the exemption. It's a win-win situation for both associations in my opinion" said Socha. To be eligible to play in the Wisconsin State Amateur, the 2015 TRGA Championship winner must be a WSGA member and agree not to play in another state's State-Am.
The TRGA Championship is scheduled for August 22-23 at The Bridges in Winona, MN and The LaCrosse Country Club in Onalaska, WI.
