Message from TRGA Jr. Alum - Andrew Fricke

Hey Squib,

I hope all is well with you. I was cleaning up my emails and came across our conversation from last year. Figured I'd give you the latest update. haha. I actually took an internship position in Fairbanks, Alaska this past summer at the Northern Most USGA golf course. Needless to say it was quite amazing. 24 hour sunlight, perfect temperatures, and the nicest people anyone could ask for. I met a lot of very cool people and learned a lot of things not only about the industry but about myself as well. Golf is my life, it is what I love and it is what I want to be involved with. You along with the TRGA were a huge part in that. So once again thank you for all the hard work you did and continue to do for junior golf.

I have applied to a couple of different places so far for my second internship position this coming summer. One being the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour based out of Jacksonville, FL. It is a year round tour, very high end, hosting tournaments in places such as Tampa, Orlando, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach. Another position I'm looking at is the Illinois Junior Golf Association. So as you can tell I'm quite busy right now.

I've attached a couple of pictures from my adventure this past summer. One is me posing right before I hit a ball off of a mountain. Another is my father and I right after a round of Midnight golf. And the other is me playing in the courses club championship.

Sincerely, a proud TRGA Junior Alum
