Looking forward to a new season

As I'm watching television coverage of Adam Scott hitting back-to-back Titleists into the lake at the Honda Classic, it occurs to me that I could be watching something similar, in person, soon! We are only two months away from the start of the 2016 TRGA season.

While I'm hoping to witness far more good shots than bad, any kind of outdoor golf sounds good to me right now. We're anxious to build on the momentum of 2015;emdash;the TRGA's 20th season.  Again this year, an exemption to the Wisconsin State Open will be on the line. We'll be back at Valley High Golf Club in Houston, MN for the first time in several years. We'll have a new look for men's 5th flight (all net). We'll be back at the Bridges and The La Crosse Country Club for the annual TRGA 36-hole Championship. And if that's not enough—there's a post-season two-person team event at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in September. That's a lot about which to get excited! Now it's time to find those golf clubs and get your game and body ready for all the fun.

I don't recommend too many full swings in your living room, unless you are alone in the house!  You certainly should be working on your short game as much as possible. Groove that putting stroke. And hit as many chip shots as possible. Just aim away from windows and your 52-inch television. Some sort of stretching and core workouts will help as well. In addition you still have time to work on your mental game. Now's the time to visualize 18-holes of smart decisions on any or all of our wonderful TRGA courses.

See you soon.
